July 23rd, 2004 was a very good day. That was the day that Lindsay said “I do” to me! For our five year anniversary, we splurged on some camping equipment we’ve been eyeing for a while. But way more importantly, we spent time together away from distractions and responsibilities vying for our attention. For 3 days we spent time relaxing at the beach, on an 8 mile alpine hike, and on an incredible 12 mile mountain bike ride around twin lakes that included a ghost resort town, and traversing through a river that was snow melt…and thus COLD.

It is amazing to me with five short years how close you can grow to another person. In that time she has continually amazed me in her ambitions and accomplishments. Lindsay has had two jobs within the community that inspired her to pursue her masters to further have an impact on the less fortunate populations in Denver and beyond. On top of her studies she completed her first marathon last year and triathlon this year. Lindsay is again training for the Chicago marathon taking place this October. If that wasn’t enough, her passion for youth has led her to mentoring other young women once again.

I can’t put into words how blessed I feel to have the relationship I do from this special woman. Not just support through the income highs and lows of a free lancer’s lifestyle, but how she challenges me in my faith, how I live my life, and how to remain a person of character when it’s sometimes easier not to. It has been 5 years that included 4 cars, 3 states, 2 apartments, 1 house, and too many experiences to count. I would not change one thing, and humbly pray for many more years of the same.

how sweet. i would love to know your wife. she sounds AMAZING.
Babe, you are so kind… which is one of the many reasons for why I LOVE you. I capitalize LOVE because I’m pretty sure that I didn’t really know the deepest meanings of the word until these last few years of being with you. Love is a pretty sweet thing and I’m SO happy that I have experienced it with you.
Love you,
Lindsay
Finally a post… and one that’s totally sappy and has fabulous pictures. Congratulations on a great 5 years. You are both awesome, and I hope we will keep in touch even across the miles and more miles. Wishing you many more years of growth and laughter, friendship and good stuff.
