aspiring photographer & world traveler

This is Katy.  The morning after our session, Katy was returning to Costa Rica, visiting a University to help decide where she will spend her college years.  Her previous time in Costa Rica was with her church, building relationships and working in a community less fortunate than ours.  Katy is motivated and passionate, a natural observer heavily invested in the arts.  My hope is she continues in that path, making this world better.

With her interests gaining in photography, we spent a little time playing with a 1930s Ziess Ikon, sheet film camera.

Katy’s parents had the nicest things to say:  Kevin did a fantastic job of photographing my 17 yr old daughter! (senior pix) He makes himself familiar w/ her interests and hobbies—in this case she is into vintage things–outdoorsy/nature–and photography. So he took pix of her by old limestone buildings/ bridges over creeks/ limestone steps/ and even brought an ancient camera for her to pose with. He was excellent at knowing the best light reflection/ shadowing/ glare reduction etc. His shots were candid and certainly captured my daughter’s true self! He had very portable equipment so everything was very quick and she could change places very easily. … I would highly recommend Kevin! – Bob and Janet
