I had the honor of finally meeting Laura & Chris in person just days before their wedding. This was one of those incredible spring days in Chicago…the kind where the air is crisp, yet the sun warms your soul when you turn the corner. The kind that makes you wish that day would last longer than most. Now add Laura & Chris, the kind of couple that makes you want to stick with them, and that makes one special day in the city.
What I loved was watching Laura stealing glances at Chris all day…

This is Christion & Megan. Christion is a romantic. Christion flew out to Denver from San Luis Obisbo for a secret proposal. Megan’s neighbors let him in to her apartment while she was away, and Christion proceeded to cover a wall with photographs of the two of them. When Megan came home, Christion proposed, she said YES.
Later, we all went out for sushi and celebrated!

Since moving to Denver a few years ago, I’ve been organizing a lunch each month with some of the best, male photographers around. Being in the wedding industry, it is fun for just the guys to get together and chill. During our off-season we wanted to mix things up a bit and have some creative time in the studio. Hence, Boys Lunch: After Dark was born including pizza, cameras, lights, beautiful models, and one late night.

This is Katy. The morning after our session, Katy was returning to Costa Rica, visiting a University to help decide where she will spend her college years. Her previous time in Costa Rica was with her church, building relationships and working in a community less fortunate than ours. Katy is motivated and passionate, a natural observer heavily invested in the arts. My hope is she continues in that path, making this world better.
With her interests gaining in photography, we spent a little time playing with a 1930s Ziess Ikon, sheet film camera.
Katy’s parents had the nicest things to say: Kevin did a fantastic job of photographing my 17 yr old daughter! (senior pix) He makes himself familiar w/ her interests and hobbies—in this case she is into vintage things–outdoorsy/nature–and photography. So he took pix of her by old limestone buildings/ bridges over creeks/ limestone steps/ and even brought an ancient camera for her to pose with. He was excellent at knowing the best light reflection/ shadowing/ glare reduction etc. His shots were candid and certainly captured my daughter’s true self! He had very portable equipment so everything was very quick and she could change places very easily. … I would highly recommend Kevin! – Bob and Janet

Francis Chan & the Crazy Love photo credit…
Last fall I was in Pittsburgh working with Clover (more on them later), and had the honor of photographing Francis Chan for his new promotional head shots. Francis is the founder of Cornerstone Church in Simi Valley, CA, and the author of best-selling, Crazy Love. The year prior I was flown to California for some stock photo work with Clover and photographed Francis in action on the side. Later I was informed one of the photos would be on his book cover, sweet 
So like I promised, here is another place you can find me when strolling thru Barnes & Noble. And yes, my name is on the copyright page.
I have no stake in sales, so this is an unbiased endorsement….Crazy Love is amazing, and I’m only halfway finished. If you have heard Francis speak before, you know that this book is incredible. The only other book that has challenged and inspired my faith as much in the past five years, was Wild at Heart.
