A unique, cultural celebration.

I want to share Monica & Ammar with you. These two put on the greatest, multi-cultural celebration I have ever been to. Three different worlds came together in the old mining town of Georgetown, Colorado.
Ammar’s family is from India.

Monica’s family is from Columbia.

As the ceremony began at this beautiful location, Monica & Ammar’s personality began to shine through in a way I had not seen before. The ceremony was written in Dr. Suess style rhyming, and just as the guests started to catch on, the surprise hats came out to drive the point home.

The Shadows Ranch property is just beautiful, and very close to Denver.

My favorite part of the day was the toasts. It was a loving and multilingual convergence of different cultures sharing in the same joy and celebration.

And man, this group could dance.

Blessings in Chicago, Monica & Ammar.

If you live in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico…..

…then check out your local paper for Nate & Claudia’s wedding announcement!
Claudia forwarded this initial layout scan on to me. Way cooler than any American newspaper wedding announcement that I’ve seen!
Warmer than Denver in Tucson, Arizona
Denver winters are great….generally feeling tropical compared to the Chicago winters we grew up with. But I am becoming more of a cold-weather wuss…and today was cold. I stumbled upon these warm and inviting images from a beautiful wedding in Tucson last November. It was an honor to tag along and second shoot with my good friend Katie from Jenna Walker Photo.
